Dokuz Eylül University Divinity School is an official institution providing undergraduate and graduate degrees and religious education under the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). It offers two programs: regular education and evening education. Additionally, since 2011, it has been offering education through İLİTAM program.
The regular and evening programs consist of a one-year preparatory class and four years of undergraduate education, totaling five years. İLİTAM is a two-year undergraduate completion program. Graduates of Bachelor’s degree can apply for this program through the External Transfer Exam (DGS). Pedagogical Formation courses are also offered within the existing programs.
At our school, a wide range of compulsory and elective courses are offered in the fields of Main Islamic Sciences, Philosophy and Religious Sciences, as well as Islamic History and Arts. Graduates mostly work in religious services under the Presidency of Religious Affairs (as Imams, Muezzins, Qur’an Instructors, etc.) and as teachers in the Ministry of National Education. Additionally, they can be employed in institutions such as the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Family and Social Services.
Specialized education is provided at undergraduate and graduate levels in three departments:
